My mother has carefully collected beautiful and charming Christmas ornaments over the years. O loves my mother's Christmas tree. Every few hours, she will arrive in the kitchen holding a new ornament and ask 'Can I take this one home?'
My favorite was when we were reading "Corduroy" - the book about the bear, and we got to the page with the night watchman on the Escalator. I asked her what the night watchman was going to do, and O's answer was "He's going to eat him! (the bear) -- not quite sure what she is watching on TV these days, but . . .
