I was reading Shipoopi's blog, which I find much more entertaining than my own, and saw a post about too many pictures. Plagiarism! I had previously blogged on the subject of too many photos. I suppose that I am not the first parent to face the conundrum of what to do with all these photos.
Interestingly, we are now facing a different conundrum. Not enough photos and too many videos. After taking many pictures of the top of Olivia's head and other low quality shots, I started using my digital camera to take videos instead of photos. My parents love the videos and it's much easier to capture Olivia looking at the camera. However, they hog disk space -- I have managed to fill up the hard disk on my Mac. And they are a pain to send (takes forever to edit, burn to DVD, or upload.) I need to spend a weekend some month editing and managing all the videos I've taken in the past few months, but the weekends roll around and there's inevitably something else I'd rather be doing (or a squirmy toddler who needs attention.)

I know what you mean, even at 6 months I find we are taking many more videos than we used to. My unfortunate theory is that this stuff will grow faster than anyone can reasonably manage, and it'll end up as the digital equivalent of old home movie reels.
Have you considered getting an external USB hard disk, just to offload all the video?
